Merit Scholarship

The VCU African American Alumni Council has raised over $19,000 in endowed funds for its AAAC Merit Scholarship fund.  The AAAC Merit Scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman based on their high school academic record.  There is no application process associated with the AAAC Merit Scholarship.  The University Scholarship Committee shall award the scholarship based on the following criteria:

1. The scholarship recipient must be a full-time, incoming freshman on the Monroe Park Campus.
2. Highest ranking student based on academic merit who satisfies the first criteria. 
3. The scholarship may be renewed for an additional three years provided the student remains in good academic standing as determined by the University Scholarship Committee.

4. Preference will be given to previously underserved students. 

If you would like to make a contribution towards the AAAC Merit Scholarship Endowment fund, please download the contribution form, print and complete, and send it with your check to VCU Alumni Activities.
