Leadership Scholarship
The VCU African American Alumni Council has raised over $24,000 in endowed funds for its AAAC Leadership Scholarship Fund. The AAAC Leadership Scholarship is awarded to a current, full-time VCU student based on academic achievement, community service, and leadership potential.
The award will be made according to the following scholarship criteria:
- Preference will be given to previously underserved students from the Monroe Park Campus.
- The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has a minimum 2.8 GPA, exhibits leadership, is involved in his or her community, and has a letter of recommendation from a VCU faculty member.
The scholarship may be renewed for an additional three years providing the student remains full-time and maintains a 2.5 GPA. The AAAC anticipate awarding its next Leadership Scholarship during the Fall 2007 semester.
